I have to say, their shifter is awesome. Super light weight.
I considered moving the toe shifter out and putting a spacer on the inside instead, but I figured it might look weird if I didn't also move the foot plates out and I didn't want to do that since I was afraid it'd affect my leaning capabilities... Anyways, I'm really happy with this solution. It leaves me plenty of room to shift and also looks decent, compared to leaving the splines bare at least....

I got those same spacers about 1 1/2 years ago. They really help with comfort/foot FREEDOM! And I have no problems with hardcore lean angles. Zero scraping of floorboards!

I finally took the time to install my KST 10” 6 bend handlebars. I had been waiting for my heated grips to show up but finally got tired or waiting and moved forward with the install. I went ahead and added the lighted hand controls since I’ll be adding a stereo (maybe tomorrow). Hopefully everything functions with them since I had police controls on it. I also went ahead and ran the control wires internally in the bars. One last thing I did was left a piece of weed trimmer string in the bars so that I could pull the left side heated grip wire easier once the grips Finally show up.

The results:

I haven’t fully assembled everything as I plan to work on the stereo tomorrow. The bars are done though.

That's funny I've received my heated Kahuna's but waiting (4 weeks and counting) on my bars (different mfr, though).

I run those bars at that height. Had the 12” ones. Took those off and installed 10”.

Perfect

Well finished wet sanding and buffing my fenders. Almost finished my gas tank as well. So got the fender mounted with the frame covers I cerakoted. Thinking the license plate and tail light looks better than the stock road glide setup. Still got a ways to go but getting there. Got a vacation next month going riding with buddy and our wives across 4 states.

I didn’t do nothing to my bagger today but ride it. Finally an 87 degree day here with no rain in West Virginia. Was a most enjoyable day/ride. 😁

Made it home today. 1,461 miles start to finish. That's a good way to start connecting with a new bike I think. She ran beautifully almost the entire way but about 120 miles from home, I tried upshifting from first to second and it wouldn't go. I tried several more times and I could only go into first and neutral but nothing higher. There were no bad sounds or smells, no warning lights, nothing. I thought I was going to need to limp it home in first which would have sucked! I pulled over to check it out and quickly found the problem. A damn screw was perfectly blocking the shifter from moving backwards.

I pulled the screw out with a magnetic screwdriver and then searched to find where the screw came from. I couldn't find anything missing. There were no leaks and nothing that felt loose so I rode it home. No issues, ran perfectly. When I got home I removed the seat and used a flashlight and mirror and still couldn't find anything. I took it to my dealer and the service guy looked around and said he couldn't find anything missing. He suggested that maybe during a previous service someone had dropped it and never found it leaving it in there until it just happened to perfectly bounce into this position causing the issue which forced me to find it. It sounds a little farfetched but since I don't know where else it could have come from, It's more plausible than anything I've got. Anybody have any other ideas?

Did more of the best thing you can do to your bagger when your mods are pretty much done... rode it on our weekly ride with a great group of friends in the awesome Texas Hill Country!
