Finally finished up the new dash panel on my '07.
I was so tired of seeing the same stickers, same flat metal plates, etc covering this area of the bike... decided to do something different to mine.
I started by pulling the comms wires, filling the hole, then shaping it to match the other side, and wrapping it in leather to match the seat.
Then that wasn't quite enough for me on this often overlooked or overdone area.
Here is the final version, BT LED controller installed, powered from the AUX switch on the bezel, linked to the phone app so I can actually change colors if I choose.
I think it turned out great.
I started the passing lamp upgrade last night. Not as straight forward as I had hoped... the overall diameter is a bit less than the factory and Sunpie lights that I had previously, but the look and function of the DRL & amber turn signal halos are what I was going for.
I had to fit 2 additional wires through the hole in this bolt...
Then snake them through the plastic sleeve up to the connector end.
I've got 1 side finished, hopefully i can get the 2nd one done and get it back together tonight.

Yup! I decided to change out my Custom Dynamics LED right turn insert because it suffered water damage. CD came thru & sent me not 1 but TWO new inserts & told me how to waterproof them with silicone. Tried doing it myself but now the right side won't work at all! That's what I get! Now it's off to the dealer to spend $100 maybe more to get the damned thing fixed! I can't even change a light...((
