What did you do to your bagger today?
Here's the next phase of the custom dash console mock up...
I'm looking into ways to finish off the inside (behind the mesh).
I'm considering backlighting it with some RGBW led tape that I have (I can mount it on the perimeter of the chrome bezel).
I also have some clear acrylic sheet stock that is blacked out on one side (used for etched, illuminated signage), so if I can heat it up & bend it to match the curve, and then get it tight against the mesh, it would look black until I hit the lights, and then the whole thing should glow behind the mesh.
It will look something like this when finished...

Traded it in.
My '06 Electraglide Standard has had two fatal engine fails, once repaired by Vacaville V-Twin (California), and their work repaired by White Knuckle Speed Shop (in Waipahu, HI). Ben at White Knuckle said I needed a new engine, but he would se what he could do. He gave me a year on the repairs. Now my transmission is leaking, to where I leave a trail behind me. Local dealer gave me 4k in trade, I figured that would do. I pulled my speakers from the fairing and saddle bags, and the GPS from the handlebars and came back with my title and checkbook.
I got me a 2019 Electraglide Standard with 848 miles on the odo. Damn, this new bike is (adjusted for inflation) the same price as my last one, but minus so many of the features I loved.
I spent today trying to put some speakers in. The fairing came off real easy, the speaker pods not so much. I figured it out eventually, with only two trips to YouTube. My speakers dont fit. Damnit. I had planned to just use the GPS as a MP3 player pushed through my old amp. But I need either new speakers or an adapter for the old ones. (I have Hogtunes and am happy with them). Sooooo, while the fairing is apart, I tapped the GPS's power cords into the cigarette lighted-figuring that its switched. But no good. I will work on that some more. Maybe the inline taps are no good?
Now that I saved the money going with another Standard, I have to get a seat. And passenger floorboards. What? no fender tip lights. Oh well. No passenger floorboards, not even pegs? Where's the passing lamps? No handlebar controls either.
I like the ABS, though.

Last year I was to busy renovate our house and trying to ride as much as I could. But I manage to buy some used saddlebags and rear fender and start a project. I don't know when I will finish it, cause of money, My daughter is in university doing her master and need the money for that. Anyway some pictures of what I did until now
Well let's see now...A few weeks ago I brought home a new 2022 FLTRXS in White Sand Pearl.
Now for the party to begin. I added a detachable sissy bar and backrest for my girl
LePera LKU 957 Maverick Reduced Reach seat (God did a materials transfer by making my legs short and giving some Basketball player a few extra inches LOL!...Hey they may have talent, reach and the ability to earn millions each year but hey when I fall down I don't have that far to fall! LOL!)
RWD RS-1 13"Shocks.
Well stay tuned for more to come...

Another project today was to fix my backrest. The detent spring in the seat is getting weak and the back rest works its way down. I did some measuring and drilled and tapped the backrest for a stainless button head screw. Now when I slide it in the screw works as a stop preventing the seat from working its way down.

got an American Elite mounted last Sunday, decided to paint the wheel before putting it on the bike, I was going to get it powder coated, but that's time down and $150 I can use elsewhere, and the wheel doesn't need to be perfect since its 80% hidden by my stretched bags.
