Replaced sloppy stock shifter linkage for a tubular Ebay special..

Smart move, that is the weakest link on our Harley’s. I change that on ever Harley I have bought right away.

If you want to get rid of any more slop, replace that black spacer (behind the toe shifter) with one of these:

Good find! They make an extended length spacer as well for folks like me with one shift pedal.

I see the new softtails have the shifter linkage goes thru the primary case. Much shorter linkage in the back that way, but maybe a PITA to maintain, don't know. I need to go heim joint on my linkage as well.

Installed lighted hand controls, Memphis Shades hand guards, Siouxicide Choppers Sissy Bar and luggage rack and started installed the Empire foot boards, shifter peg and brake pedal. Then took it for a quick test ride.
