First of all.. @NoRegerts yeah man.. I'm effin jealous too.. I wanna ride so bad I went out Sunday in 10 degrees with snow on the ground and only went 2 miles.. but at least I did it lol

Second.. Yeah Cornpipe.. $600 is a lot for mufflers.. but the it is what it is. I too ran into a lil rust after a short time with the S&Ss where wrenching was done.. I covered with HI-Temp Ceramic paint from a rattle can and haven't had an issue since. The GNX 4.5s sound great .. but I'm also running a full catless exhaust

The 50 cals are actually over $900 but like you said it is what it is. That's what I always say when I'm being taken to the cleaners lol. That's a shame S&S mufflers are rusting that fast. Glad you could save yours.

Im a little jealous of your weather and your ability to ride during this season. I can’t (won’t) even open the heated garage to see what these pipes sound like. Im hoping to hear a nice deep rumble when I do start them up for the first time

“Oh yeah no doubt they seem very nice. They seem to offer a lot of options as far as baffles and tips. But almost a grand for mufflers pretty unbelievable!”

As for money, I think it’s safe to say that none of us bought a Harley as a rational financial investment. Neither are these pipes.
True on all points. The weather sucks, so sorry you've got that to contend with. As far as buying the bike, it's a money pit. But I don't consider them toys like most do. I ride all the time when I'm not at work (company car) and the truck is used for truck things.

One big reason I scrounge for good used stuff. Saves bucks for other, less expensive, upgrades.

Checking to make sure they're all still there while we're getting another 8-12 inches of snow.

Finished bleeding the hydraulic clutch, and topped off fluid on the rear master cylinder. Is it just me, or is it just one big PITA cleaning up those diaphragms before putting them back on.

Yea sounds like you guys down there are supposed to get clobbered....I'm up NW Iowa here, we got nothing, only had one "blizzard" this year so far. It's been a really weird winter

Did it help at all? I don't know there's much else to be done, so I'd imagine it's going to be how it needs to be. As for the diaphragms, I just wipe them down with a clean rag so they don't drip on the paint.
