What did you do to your bagger today?
Good point, thanks!
I thought I had added this pic to my previous post, but this shows the 'inner workings' of the new breather and catch can assembly that I made. The bracket that supports this assembly is connected to the backside of the intake plate, so no... it does not just hang there like shown.

Better in the top end than on the piston in my mind; after all, isn't that where the oil came from in the first place?
Rainy day and I planned on doing just the saddlebag mounts which I did.
The main reason I did this is because I added saddle bag organizers and the HD mounts didn't seem to clip in as tight as before. Adding an 1/8 inch made the "click" disappear. Hmmmmm.....
Also my Saddlemen seat came in yesterday earlier than expected and put that on as well. It IS a harder seat right now but I won't knock it. I knew going in it would need some breaking in to soften up. A month from now and 1000 or so miles will let me know if I made a mistake. The passenger seat is much smaller than HD seat. I was surprised at the difference.
I ride 80 % solo. We'll see how my wife likes it. If not, I'll just change the seat when she's with me. Looks good though!

I agree on keeping it out of the chamber, but the vapors need to escape the cyl head, and if they don't they can turn to sludge, blocking the venting from that head. At least thats MY theory. If you ever have to pull the rockers it would be interesting if there is a build up, more than the rear dyl.
I tend to loot at things and build things based on worse case scenarios.

Crash time!
Haven't posted here for a while cuz I crashed out. Ran my precious machine into a deep ditch at about 70mph+. Broke my right clavicle & left middle finger. Nearly broke left leg too...it's still killing me! Bike goes to the shop Thursday, hopefully it's not totaled. I don't think it is. Ditch was all soft dirt & brush. less than a mile from home! I'll take a couple pics of bike & post. I have thousands into it, so it just cannot be totaled! Progressive will lemme no...(
Hopefully you haven't bought one yet. Check out the BIKER BAR. We bought one for our trip out to Sturgis and it's ALL you need. No chocks, NO straps, NO NOTHING ELSE! Rock solid & bike never moved a centimeter in 2000 miles plus!
