@sabunimwil@gmail.com That's a crazy situation. I had the rear go out and I realized it was happening but tried to push on. Big mistake. You did the right thing stopping. I can't imagine why it would have gone out in so little time though.

If its the bike in his sig, its a '16, so lots of time,, but few miles. Wheel bearings CAN be ruined by excessive water, rain, too much pressure from a hose, or a car wash. Could also have lost a grease seal, or a slow leaking one. Not saying thats the case here, but that bearing looked dry as a bone in the Texas desert. Lol, rust is not a good lubricator.

I have seen guys (not implying Wil did at ALL) take bike to the car wash and power wash the grease off the axle hubs.

Default Breather & catchcan install

I finished up the breather kit install.
I think it turned out pretty good.
Solid as a rock too, so the motor shouldn't shake it apart.

I've had the bike about 8 months. I bought it from Javelina HD in Boerne. They just put new tires and brakes on it when it was traded in. I would think that they would've checked the bearings when they did that? Or maybe not, who knows. I've washed it twice by hand, with no pressure washer. I ride it for me.Not to show it off as a clean trailer queen. In those 8 months, I've put 15,000 miles on it riding with BACA. There's no point in having it if you aren't going to ride it. I heard a saying about that once. "Not riding your bike to keep its resale value is like not screwing your girlfriend because you're saving her for the next guy."

I don't trust Javelina HD and I sincerely doubt they checked that bearing. I trusted then once and it almost cost my wife and me. That's why I've learned to do it myself. If not I take it to Bear at Lost Souls.

That's impressive mileage, and you're doing good work with it too.

I'm glad it worked out for you Rifle. Let us know your thoughts when you get it installed and test ridden.

Looks solid as hell!!

But I'm curious does the horseshoe shaped tubing behind and on top of the air cleaner screw into the black T- fittings you've made there??

I've been contemplating doing this to my '15 this winter
