I posted exactly a month ago that there wasn’t anything I planned on doing to my bike. Well thanks to HD Forums and @Parts Giant I found a great deal on a JW Speaker adaptive headlight. Fedex delivered this afternoon and I got it installed in about 10 minutes. Then waited for dark to adjust the aim and take it on a test ride. It is awesome - lights up that dark spot when leaning in corners.

Taking pics of lights is hard.

Also, my old JW Speaker LED light is for sale in the classifieds.

Now that would be an awesome time for a helmet video cam. Might have to look into this. I live on a curvy road, 5 miles of winding narrow road, with deer everywhere. I currently try to avoid night riding because of it. How is the vision straight ahead, compared to the OEM?

I have the Daymaker on mine for comparison.

JW Speaker is the only aftermarket headlight I'll run anymore. I've had plenty of the Sunpies and other Amazon/AliExpress cheapos and they don't throw a nice, even beam down the road. They're expensive but to see and be seen is well worth the investment.

I don’t have a helmet cam and have tried taking a couple videos (daytime) with my phone mounted on the handlebars - they sucked.

It fills in the dark area on the inside of a turn where the normal cut off line tilts down.

Here is a marketing video that has some clips of what it does:

The beam pattern is very good. Low beam is about the same brightness down the road but wider than my 5 year old JW Speaker LED, lights up the sides of the road better. High beam is amazing with a really focused punch of light down the road. Low beam stays on with high beam also.

Did a Boom!/Nav software update to my 2014 from 1.17.01 to 1.22.01. Totally confused from H-D website instructions and once I gave up and went to Youtube, it worked fine. H-D instructions are outdated. This guy cut thru the nonsense and it worked like a charm.

Put on a Ciro cell phone holder, set my favorites for the radio which is harder than it should be. Ordered passenger floorboards (didn't come with them) , backrest and researching like hell Saddlemen seats. All in all , doing plenty of riding and loving the new to me bike!

Nice! I have the 8700 Gen 2 JW Speaker light, but have been reading a lot of good stuff about the newest adaptive light. I was skeptical about the first adaptive lights, but man, they are really pulling it together it looks like!

I LOVED it! It's a brotherhood, man! Full throttle saloon was the absolute WORST to go to. 8 miles outta town in the HOTTEST part of western dakota. It was like riding to hell and a MAJOR disappointemnt! All hype & overpriced booze, food & chinese merch. It was REALLY sad. The rest was incredible! Too hot for my taste, but our 1 day house rental paid off! Saw three shows, kid rock, ZZTOP & Black Label Society (our favorite! Made tons of new friends, will go next year fo sho!@

Got into a front end rehab. Will be back together tomorrow. Man, do these bikes have a lot of parts. No wonder they cost so much!
