Recently, there was a member on the the Softail forum that installed large (1-5/8") diameter Avon grips, and he was having issues with his clutch switch. Will your bike start in gear with the clutch lever against the new grip?

Being thinner, they should. I put a pair on the King when I did a bar job. Very comfy.

Replaced the awful Rockford Fosgate 6.5s with some Mmats 6.5s. Had to cut the speaker pods a bit but I covered that with some sound defending. Mmats sound SO much better. Did not get a finished picture...lame.

fabbed up a external breather setup, used two 10-32 grub screws to plug the filter backing plate, two 1/8" npt to 1/4" barb fittings, a 1/4" barb T fitting, 6ft of 1/4" fuel line, and a small filter from amazon (will arrive tomorrow) I ran line down the right side of the bike and zip tied to the frame, where it ends just in front of the exhaust. I'll post pics of the finished product tomorrow. Then I put a reflective flag decal on the trans cover, the plain chrome vastness was annoying me lol. Then I got some good quality miles in, getting to know the bike, I am absolutely loving it, it has made forget all about my Wide Glide!

Looked over the maint schedule for my bike. Its recommended to rebuild front forks at 50k, and since my front end does not seem totally right, AND I am getting the steering head bearings replaced Friday, under warranty, I decided to have them do the forks as well. Will cost me an extra $380 but this saves me about 1.5hrs labor, since the front end will be apart for the head bearings anyway.

Was hoping not to have to have the dealer do much out of warranty work, but I would need tools I do not have, and would mean a lot of down time for the bike. The dealer I bought the bike from replaced the front wheel bearings, before the sale, so my front end will be like new.

That will be a big burden taken care of. Probably never have to do it again. Just wish that could be under warranty too.
