I used my 4.5" angle grinder with cutoff wheel. You have to tape both sides and then clean up the cut later, but the cut is as clean as your hand is steady. I used my fingers to peel off most of the burn, and then a box cutter to clean the edge a bit. You then use a sanding block and gradually smaller grits of sandpaper to give a finished edge to it.

You have to be real careful not to scratch, cause its easy to do.

Well I decided to ride to a casino my wife and I like to go to and look at it as an empty parking lot before it opens back up tomorrow. I then decided it was such a beautiful day I'd ride a little further down the road to the oldest harley dealer in louisiana then hit the interstate to cajun harley and pick up a couple dealer shot glasses as I collect them. I made it part way there to the 2nd one and the interstate comes to a stop in between exits. Apparently a chemical truck flipped. Took just under 2 hours to make it 3.6 miles. And no shoulder to take to get ahead as several 18 wheelers pulled off to let it disperse and not waste their drive time. Finally was able to make it to the exit and figure out a more scenic route. Enjoyed the view once moving and makes for a story to tell buddies as we all have those misery stories we like to share.

Cleaned er up some more, did some final adjustments on the new header, reflashed a tune. Ready for this crazy rain to stop and roads dry off. Previously, I had posted that the right side muffler WOULD NOT go on far enough. I went out to the shop to do whatever I had to do to correct this situation and get that right side matched up with the left. For starters, I just pulled the right bag, loosened the right muffler clamp, and loosened the 2 bolts at the rear. Gave it a slight love tap, AND THE SOB MOVED!!!?? Lol, moved easily into place. I do not get it, but hey.....
