Before i installed the Coolfan, at slow speeds my right leg/knee would fry. Since installing the coolfan and letting it operate in auto mode, no more fried leg/knee. So, it is working and im happy.
Hope that helps.

I know your heat issue. Last summer we got stuck in a freeway traffic jam. Our bike is a 2018 Ultra. On the edge of what I could stand heat wise. I have stock headers with slip-ons. I did a cat-ectomy. Heat is way down and haven’t had any issues since. I also opened up the stock air intake. Lost just a little bottom end power but gained more power at higher rpm.

This coming September the engine warranty runs out. I’m going with a fuel management module. Still undecided on which one.

12"

After putting them on, attaching the switch packs and levers .... the clamp cover wont fit due to the Yaffe 1 inch risers. Got a used set of OEM risers for 1 inch bars on the way to see if that works.

yea I dont get that with the fried right leg but the Eitms will kick in & its unnerving knowing the motor is cooking. PO had her tuned rich to run cooler which helps but then my mileage is terrible, 29-34 mpg. Would like to lean it out a bit which will run hotter so that fan certainly must help. Thanks!

I had alot of guys tell me I'd wish I went 12s. I'm glad I didn't and stuck to 10s. I like the "slightly over stock" look on all my stuff. Nothing outrageous, just something that sets the vehicle apart from stock sitting next to it.
The 1 1/4" diameter improves the looks dramatically.

Done. Hooked battery back up, started the bike, everything works. Project completed! Next: headpipes.

I'm short and my right leg/knee while riding is positioned just behing the breather near the rear jug. The heat that would come off the rear jug in slow speed, or stop and go, traffic was intense, thus the reference to my leg/knee being fried. Would often have to sit on the bike with my leg splayed out to allow some air to cool it off...needless to say a slightly uncomfortable position. After installing the Coolfan, I rode all last summer in Central Florida Temps well into the high 90's with out that intense heat hitting my leg/knee.

From what I understand, the Coolfan does not really help cool the engine, but rather pulls the heat away from the rider. However, my EITMS has never kicked in, so it must help somewhat in that regard.

Maybe this helped your understanding of what I was trying to say.

not my bagger but I helped my friend install a set of handlebars on his '11 street glide over the weekend ! he went with the 10" wild 1 bagger bars and they look awesome. The install went very smoothly and the bars were easy to get the wiring through. We went on a ride immediately afterward and lets just say hes a wild 1 guy now too! Going to help him with a few more upgrades this weekend.. stay tuned!
