I was working on cleaning up some wiring and added a set of LEDs I had laying around the shop. Now I have the blues.

Also borrowed the Kuryakn universal sissybar off my tsport for a while, at least until my quick detach one gets here. Also have an LED headlight on the way too. Ditch the reflectors, then its just suspension down the line. Really happy with how this bike is coming along. Not taking much to make it what I want it to be...

Bike is looking good. i always enjoyed seeing pics of your lowrider. One reason I had my lowrider s. What other plans do you have for it?

Spent the better part of the day power washing, drying, waxing all tins and other painted/glossy powder coated parts and then applied a coat of ACF-50 to the motor and frame area, along with each and every exposed fastener I could find. l also made sure to spritz all the electrical areas under the seat, under the tank, in and around the ignition switch and on the HB's. I made sure to cover the wheels and brakes so not to get and ACF on them. I also covered as much of the exhaust as practical.

After applying the ACF and letting it sit and drip off for some time, I wiped everything down with a rag...one stiff PITA job. Then let the bike idle for a good twenty or so minutes to burn off the ACF from the hot parts.

No, we don't get snow so they don't need to put salt down on the roads here in Central Florida, but Ocean salt in the air will start to corrode anything that is not painted or coated. Even chrome, which I don't have much of on my SGS, will start to pit if left unprotected.

How does the saying go; "If it is a clean bike it means it doesn't get ridden much". So I guess it is now time to ride it so it can get dirty again.

Anti Corrosion Formular. ACF-50 is a brand name and I believe it comes out of the aircraft industry, if I understand correctly.

Highly recommended from members on these forums, especially for bikes that might have to travel on roads that have been salted due to snow and ice. Since I live in Florida, that is not my situation. I do notice, however, that many of the fasteners and other non-painted or coated metal parts (even chrome) tend to corrode/oxidize due to the salt air as the Ocean is only less than 2 miles away from my location.

So, in my situation, an once of prevention is worth its weight in gold...if it works.

Lots of YouTube videos on the application process.

Thanks man! Right now, my next main goal is suspension. I'm thinking if/when I finally sell my TSport in the spring I want to do some sort of shock/front cartridge setup. Other than that, I'm really liking the bike as is. Wouldn't mind a slimmer front fender, also want to change the intake out, not a fan of the knockoff RSD unit, little too flashy for me. Will also do a proper 2-1 pipe at some point, and non-stretched bags. I have my LED headlight and quick detach backrest waiting to be installed just need to find the time...

This is the first bike where I haven't wanted to change absolutely everything about it like I have my dynas. I'm really liking the platform, glad I made the switch...
