Yesterday: updated Boom software, R&R’d shorty antenna, removed heel shifter, new grips, V&H slip ons, installed highway pegs.

Yesterday, a friend helped me build some brackets to mount a 2014+ tour pak to a 2008 mount (the sleek style). There are 9 holes in the tour pak mount, 4 holes in the tour pak, and not a single one of them lined up...

Here is a picture of the brackets on the bottom of the tour pak.

And here is the finished product.

Custom Dynamics will be the first to tell you it's difficult to compare, unless a high end camera with the correct filter is used. Most pics tend to "wash out" due to the intensity of the ringz alone. I can confirm the ProBeams are definitely brighter when compared side by side with the naked eye (I'm still seeing spots).

Here's a good comparison between the two.

As Barneyboy stated, these are very hard to photograph head on. They both appear bright, and and kind of washed out, without a filter. But with a filter, you can see that the Probeams produce a wider circle of light. This probably is why it said to be brighter.

I had a real problem with mine today. I noticed my red security light would illuminate after 5 seconds of run time. I get off to find the white ring wasn’t illuminated on either side. I tried flipping them and the yellow turn signals would just stay lit. I also noticed that my heated grips no longer worked. Everything I tried, made no difference. I finally just put my original rings back in, now everything works. This makes no sense to me whatsoever! The lights work for about 5-10 seconds, then turn off throwing the red dot on my speedo. Yellow turn signals always worked. Are they defective? Or did I do something wrong? There’s no moisture or rust, or any type of corrosion of any kind. I’m baffled

Honestly, I say if you have the original CD rings, save your money. They’re not $110 better.

Today I posted my 05 EG up for sale. Tomorrow I will install my LED lights into my 12 EG and transfer my plate.

Are the two types plug and play, or did you have to splice some wires?

Both plug and play. Both have the same bulb/base connection. I sent CD an email, and a PM. Hopefully, they can confirm it’s just a faulty set of bulbs
