Called the repair shop that did install of custom cable (Vacaville V-Twin) and got the part number. Since I am now in Honolulu...I will not be going back to Vacaville for the repair. I figure somewhere on YouTube is a tutorial on how to change a clutch cable. Going to get the bike towed home today.

 

Do these boards mount on stock mounting points, or are there included new attachments?

 

So, I'm confused....my 2019 will NEVER start with the bike in gear and the clutch pulled in. Is it supposed to?

Nevermind.....now I see that it does....I swear I have been out on the road and shut off the engine and try to restart it in gear and it won't. Now, I'm really confused.

 

Check your owners manual, to see if there are any clues. That's the sort of thing it should tell you.

 

 

checked the torque on my rear swingarm bushings, tightened everything up to spec, it rides a lot tighter now. probably should look into new bushings soon (they're 12 years old now)

 

If that happens again out of warranty, I cleaned up the flashing on the clutch lever where it contacts the switch. This was a week after I had them replace the switch pack. Hasn't been an issue since.

Installed a used heated CVO seat on my '16 FLHTK. Got the seat off Craigslist for $230, plus $45 in gas & tolls. 400-mile round trip. Plus $32 to HD for the harness extension. SCORE!
