What did you do to your bagger today?
Most gas stop conversations I have go like this...
Me: Standing there filling my bike
Other guy: Nice bike.
Me: Thanks man
Other guy: I had a street Glide but I hurt my back & sold it.

Nothing special, just took the old Electra Glide out for a 50 mile jaunt. Temp in the low 80's, blue skys and the air is filled with the sweet blossoms of spring. Every mile is a different taste for the sensations as I chug along the old country roads at a leisurely 55. This is the last of the carb baggers and I feel a throwback to my youth, without a care, the breeze in my face, and all alone on the road as my mind is constantly stimulated by different scents in the air. Even the horse farms smell pleasant today. How glad I am that I live in the South!
its called a Park & Move and it’s great. Spins her around in a snap. Raise and lower with drill and socket.

We finally had some decent weather today here in the Seattle area (mostly sunny, low 60s), so I skipped out on work early and went on a 3 hour drive and practice session with the 18 Road Glide Ultra. Met up with the GF's dad and his bike and we started in a parking lot to work on slow maneuvers, parking, friction zone practice, etc. After that headed to a biker bar near Enumclaw (City Hall) for some food. My first time there, and apparently the building where the bar is located has been there since the late 1800s, so a lot of character (both the bar, the bikers and the bikes there). Basically my 2nd longish ride with the bike and had a great time. Bike is just effortless on the open road. My first time in moderate traffic and fairly easy. I felt relaxed and had fun.
Had one mishap. Got some gas and pulling out I dropped the bike. Nothing serious, but embarrassing (but to be expected as I'm used to dirt bikes and this is a huge step up). Instead of walking the bike in the friction zone to get positioned I tried to muscle it, hit the front brake (no no) while turned and going super slow, and I just let the bike down. No damage or anything, other than a hurt ego. Got the bike up, and we decided to hit another parking lot to practice walking the bike, friction zone maneuvers and slow speed stuff. Headed home after that and GF's dad said I'm doing great and he gave me a few pointers.
Just loving the bike and having a blast. We should have decent weather over the next week so plan to ride a lot more. My bike isn't going to be a garage queen that's for sure. Just ecstatic to be part of the Harley club.

washed it and did the breather mod on the airfilter. routed the breather externally and to the bottom of the bike. I did this because i pulled my filter and after only 3k miles on the bike it had saturated a good 33% of the filter in oil. That can't be good for the filter or the bike.
