another round of salt an **** , I have a set of driving lights on the way, picked up a faring bag for 40 bucks....it's way to big, I'll either resell it or cut off the 2 outer pockets and just use the larger center one , all leather; just too big.

Happy Easter!

I am so anxious to get back to working on the bike. It's only 27 here today so I'm not inspired to do much. But, I thought I'd take on a small project that's been annoying me since last year.

First off, my HD digital clock stopped working. I finally took it apart today, got a new battery and it's back in business again. I couldn't find much info on it, in case anyone else needs to swap batteries, it's a 377/376.

Next, my matching thermometer looked very aged. There was a tarnished look around the entire perimeter on the inside. I thought I'd try to clean it while I had the clock off too. I was surprised, turns out it's oil filled lol. Evidently, the oil had gotten old and turned dark. I cleaned it up, added some mineral oil and it too is now ready for the new season

I'm guessing that it's oil filled so the needle doesn't shake from vibration. There's a tiny, tiny spring on the back side the pulls the needle. Without the oil, it would probably shake pretty bad. But, I'm just guessing

I believe you are correct sir. Seems everything old is new again, for you. . . The weather WILL improve there some time, hopefully soon. tp dd50
