Default Harley Seats

Don't know why Harley don't put good seats on their bikes when you buy them.

Borrowed a Buddy's new Sundowner seat yesterday. It had a good riding position and was wider and more room.
But it was kinda HARD. So that seat is OUT.

Has anybody tried the Hammock Touring Seat . Is it any better.

I've tried a bunch of Harley seats. None of them were ever great and all of them seemed overpriced for what I got.

Then I went aftermarket and found what I was looking for. I had a Mustang on my Superglide for 35,000 miles and absolutely loved it.

I have a Corbin solo and P-Pad set up on my Road King and love that.

Sat on a Mustang Super Touring at Arizona Bike Week on Friday and it was night and day better than my stock seat. I am buying that or a C&C next month.

DUH, they SELL a better seat! just like they were dealer stocking SE PARTS,
before the twin cams bikes hit the showroom. the very reason I try not to
use HD parts. Tenn.

Thumbs up Corbin 2-up

I just bought a Corbin 2-up touring seat for my Ultra. I am 5'9" with a 30" inseam. I ahd noticed that when I rode long distances on the stock seat at times my hips hurt. I decided to buy the reach seat which sits a few inched closer. I wasn't sure which seat to buy. I read some many posts and everyone has an opinion. The Corbin seat is about 5-6" narrower than the stock seat and it sits closer to the ground. It is a bit harder feeling at first but the short amount of time I have been able to ride it is very comfortable. Let's face it there are some real big boys riding Ultras and HD needs to make stock seats capable of servicing everyone. All I can say so far is the Corbin seems to be very good quality and very comfortable. I am happy with the purchase.

good luck searching, I have 3 seats for my 08 street glide. I have yet to find a favorite. I have a HD rally runner, and I love the seating position of this seat, moves me back and down! I also have the stock seat, and a 08 Road Glide stock seat. I will be sending the road glide seat out to mean city for some mods, and try that before I pay the money for a after market seat...
