A lot of boots made for racing or for use on rice rockets have buckles on them to help keep them on your feet during a crash. But most of the Harley boots with buckles on them don't tighten enough for that.

I ride with a pair of these, mostly because they come in wide widths and hard to beat for $100. My feet are seriously FUBARed and they are pretty comfortable and easy on/off with the side zipper. I think the buckle helps to keep them secured in case you take a dump. That metal logo lace thingy came off first thing...

Tried them one and great fit. snatched those babies up. Same place about a year or so ago, did the same check there and they actually had some HD brand boots and had one of me size for 49 bucks. Worth a trip there once in a while
That's the same size I wear. I bought some Red Wings with the King Toe feature since my foot is also fairly straight. Great pair of boots, but not nearly as cheap as yours.

Funny that 90% of Harley branded boots don't come in a size 14. Sigh, it's hard being a man in a boy's sized world.

I wear the Paratrooper style Dr. Martins. I just replaced my last pair of Doc's after owning them for about 10-11 years. The boots are still good, but the rubber sole has gotten too hard/slick with age. You just cannot beat the quality of those boots.

Lace the boots up loosely, so you can slip them on. Then use the buckle to tighten and keep them on your feet. Slip them on - and in no time, you're ready to go..............Just sayin...

Guys I have always hated Harley boots. Every pair I tried on were either heavy and/or uncomfortable but I was at the Harley shop the other day and found these http://www.harley-davidsonfootwear.c...oductID=22297M . Man are they comfortable! They have the silicon soles(?) like the Doc Martens have, the leather soft as hell, and they are very light. I liked them so much after I wore them for a couple of days that I went back and bought another pair in case I couldn't find any when these wear out. Oh and they have a zipper on the side of them.

I know I sound like a used car salesman but I am very picky about my shoes and these impressed the hell out of me. If you are needing a new pair of boots check them out.

+1 on that... Red Wings are the best boots I've ever owned and great customer service, they really stand behind their product. They know you by name when you walk in the store and always go out of the way to make things right.
