Back in Black!
#11
My 2011 FLHTP is my second black bike and Cycle Care Products are all that touch my bike. Between the excellent product and great service, I was sold. I have used S100 and some of the poff the shelf stuff. My old 2008 Yamaha V Star got compliments all the time that I took great care of it. Low maintenence with easy product...Talk to them and explain you have a black bike...they swapped out products and put a kit together for me that was perfect and does not involve detailing the bike every minute!

Its interesting to hear different techniques. SD100 seems to clean well, I dont know if its the "hard water" where im at but it seems I have to at least lightly wax to make it look good. I like the backpack blower thing idea and the Zainos Ive heard before, is this a wax in a bottle? Im not tryin to be a smartass, but I noticed your bike is Sedona Orange, not black.
and yes zainos is in a bottle with zainos a little goes along way. look in the back ground of my sig thats the truck iam talking about and my truck is a 02

Vivid Black Wax
I recently tried a new wax on my 2011 Vivid Black SG. I'm a freak when it comes to keeping my bikes & cars clean. I recently tried White Diamond Black Pearl wax. It's liquid in a bottle. Easy to apply, easy to remove. I found it at my local Harley dealer. Wizards is the best spray detailer I've found. Maguires is good also.
Wolfgang products are great for black too. I had a black Porsche and used the Wolfgang products on it. Autogeek is a web sight that sells that along with many other high end detailing products. I was told S100 products were too acidic. I have always liked the S100 products. Their engine brightner is the DEAL!
The key to keeping black looking good is a great base layer of wax, and making sure your microfiber rags have no debris in them. One small speck in your rag can scratch. If you have small scratches or what the experts call "spider webbing", I recommend using 3M one step cleaner wax. It's a mild compound that leaves a nice coat of wax.
Hope this helps!

Turtle Wax Black Box. If you have a black vehicle, I think you should try it, following the instructions including latex gloves and plenty of good quality microfiber towels. As of now I am very pleased with the results. OF COURSE FOLLOW THE RULES OF REMOVING ALL THE DUST PARTICLES FIRST !

I think the key to keeping black clean is to control the surface scratches. I use Meguiar's ultimate and a micro fiber towel for wipe downs. Once a month I do a quick buff with a light buffing compound, swirl remover and polish. If you keep up with it it's worth it. fall behind and then it's a pain in the arss.
