Default New fender how to prep?

Have a new fender for the RK and need to get the grease off and ready for paint. I know to use a metal etching primer but any tips on getting the protective grease/oil off?

Use lots of wax and grease remover?

Strip it with brake cleaner, naptha, alcohol, anything, then spray with WD40 when your done. That bare metal will start to rust immediately. Get ahold of your painter and ask how they want to recieve the part, most dont mind the WD40 cause its light and comes off easy, they usually do some kind of prep just before they paint. Maybe they have specific guidance like my powder guy said abosolutely nothing silicone based, that stuff can get airborne in the shop and screw up everything to the point they have to shut down operations and decon the whole shop.
