I have the Cyclesounds lids and ARC audio 6x9's with an ARC 125.2 amp mounted in the fairing. I also have 5 1/4 fairing speakers from J&M. They are powered from the deck only. I think it sounds pretty good and I didn't lose a whole lot of bag space.
Just out of curiosity would I need an amp for the lid speakers? Cycle sounds says they are amplified. I have the JM amp powering my JM speakers up front.

The Cycle Sounds comes with a 100W amp that is very small and chrome. I think either this amp or another would be necessary to get decent sound. Someone also asked about waterproof I believe. The polks that come with the Cycle Sounds are Marine grade and it comes with Hydrophobic material to put over the speakers to keep the water out. When I get my hard bags back from paint I'll post some pics of the fabric and how it all goes together.
The funny thing is I took this pic about two months ago. LOL. I just realized that might be why GlacierPearl thought I took what he said personally. I took this pic the weekend I put the speakers in the bags.
OK guys sorry I do not mean to hijack this thread but was wondering about if the saddlebag speakers work better than the tourpak speakers for the rider and passenger? I have a Streetglide with a tourpak and have been thinking about either adding tourpak or saddlebag lid speakers and just want the best bang for the buck. I still need to be able to use most of my saddlebags. Thanks for any input.
