Mine J&M 7.25s sound fine. Maybe it's just you. Right now I'm not running an amp and I did a side-by side with a buddy who still has everything stock. Of course the volume is the same since the same head unit and no amp powering them. But I used my own ears and just listened for my own comparison, and the bass is no worse than stock, but the voices sound clearer. I'm gonna buy the J&M 250w amp and see how they sound then. After that I'll see how I feel about them.

Dude, everyone has their own opinion. You don't need to participate if you don't like it. No one is holding a gun to your head telling you to vote. I'm glad your happy with your J&M, but some people were not. I thought they were overated but that's just my 2cents. It's just more information for people to have when they make their final decision. The biggest mistake that everyone has made is they should have listened before they bought including me. I was not happy so I sold them and went another route.

I think this is a good thread because this gives owners the opportunity to voice their opinion on speakers that didn't perform as the manufactuer stated.
In my case, the Hogtunes UPDATED speakers did not perform as well as the Kicker 5 1/4's I have in there now. And the Kickers were $65 LESS than the Hogtunes.
Now I'm just waiting for the Rockford Fosgate Amp!
Never heard the other speakers in the poll, but IMO, the Hogtunes were overpriced & overglorified.
