Default 255

I just put SE255 in my 103, I really like them. It sounds like you ride in the same range as I do. The 255 pull very well and when you want to go just shift quick keeping the rpms down and the bike is very fast.

When I asked my dealer to install the SE stage II with the 255s and download before pickup, he told me that there were many better options on the new 103 and I had to reign him back to just HD products. My reasoning was that most of my riding will be across country and that I would like to have my ESP honoured at all HD shops across western Canada and the northern states.. Now my complete stage II is registered and warrantied with HD. He said he would honour the warranty at his shop no matter what work I would have selected. I beleive if you talk to your dealer honestly about what you are thinking, he will give you some honest answers.
The 255s pull strong enough to pass without downshiftting. My mileage has greatly improved since the beginning and as others have stated , 255s are the best two up touring cams.

I am running SE 204 cams with 1.75 rockerarms and I am very happy with it. Not done any major interstate time with as i tent to stick with US routes, but with 2500 Miles on my '11 RGU me and momma on it we get 44 MPG. no problems pulling fairly steep grades in 6th gear @ 60 mph.

I was in the same general state of confusion. Luckily John Hildreth of Hildreth Performance is here in town and helped me determine what was right for my needs. After consulting with John, I installed Woods TW7 cams and removed my cylinder heads and turned them into Hildreth for custom porting. After I installed the cams and my ported heads the difference was like night and day. I would never just do a cam swap without porting the heads. The extra duration and lift provided by a cam swap works best with custom head porting. I also use TTS Mastertune as my tuner and would not go any other way. I have not had it dyno'ed, but Hiddreth estimated I'm at 105/100. Plus the engine is really breathing efficiently and running like a clock. John runs a pro shop and flow tests EVERY head he ports. He's been in business for years and does all the engine case mods for the area dealers here. Head removal & install and cam swap went smoothly, you just need a few special tools and the service manual. Use Cometic gaskets, they're much better than MOCO gaskets.
