my heated grips stopped working. i think they have been on the bike since it was new. i think they are part #56512-02a.
any idea why they stopped working? or
what would be a good replacement for these?

I tried heated grips in 2004. Went through two sets, they kept burning up. Gave up on the idea and now use golve liners under heavy glove.

I had the same problem. On throttle grip take off end cap there is a pronged plug in, it has probably came loose. plug it back in, should take care of it.

The only place to start is at the fuse. Make sure that there is power to it and then that the fuse is not blown. Then move up to the switch and see if there is power to it, and if you turn it on power from it. If still good the actual heater loops have failed and need to be replaced. If you do not have the tools to do all the checks, find a pro. Personally I hate electrical stuff.
