Default seat help

i need some help with finding a new seat. i have an 07 street glide and am looking to replace the stock seat with something a little more comfortable, but i want to keep the sleak look of the stock seat. i almost always ride 2 up with the wife so the new seat needs to be comfy for her also. the problem i am running into is that i am 5'08" tall and some of the more comfortable seats flare out on the front edges making it harder for me to reach the ground, and obviously i want to be able to sit flat footed. any help would be greatly appreciated.

You won't believe this but my Danny Gray low profile seat is more comfortable than stock. My wife agrees.

Try HD Reach seats. You can do a search on this site also.

Fitting you is one issue, while being comfortable for your lady is another. I would find a 2-up seat that fits you first, then if the passenger pad is not cushy enough, send it out to Mean Cit for a $75 mod. If your bike will accept a 2011 SG/RG seat, then I would ride it to a dealer that has it in stock and try it out. They are a bit lower and narrower than the previous year models. Just a thought.....

I wanted more padding. I bought a Mustang Ultra-touring seat. But I'm 6'1 and sit flat footed when sitting on it. They've done a lot with narrow seats and Reach seats. My wife has no problems with the width and depth. It is stiffer than most seats but will put you higher off the ground.

Seats are like bars. Everyone fits it differently and when you ride it the first month it may be fine. Then, you'll find things that you don't like and even hate. Difficult choices sometime. Take your time and make sure you get one that will fit ya.

Look into the C&C Sport Tour seat. Very comfortable for me & the OL never complains. Give Chuck a call, they'll cut the seat to fit you if possiable. Also be sure to ask about HD Forum member discounts!

I have a C&C sport tour on my bike. I really like it . It sets you lower and back. It's kinda firm but doesnt bother me on long rides like the stock seat did. Now as for the wife, she doesnt like it at all. She likes the stock seat much better.
