Screamin' EagleŽ Hydraulic Cam Chain T
I've searched this subject and read and read and read...information overload!!! Anyways,
My bud has an 2001 Roadking classic FI and we're going to swap out his old style cam tensioners with the SE hydraulic upgrade kit. Would anyone have a complete list of what parts we're going to need besides what comes in the kit? Also, does anyone have a link to any websites that shows the process of doing the upgrade (pics are always nice!). Thanks for any pointers and info, Larry

It's a good idea to replace the HD inner cam bearings with Torrington B-148 bearings while you're in there. These can be found at your local bearing/industrial supply shop or ordered online. A blind bearing puller is needed and can be rented at Autozone or, a puller kit is pretty cheap from Harbor Freight. Also, a search here for "Herko" will yield a supplier of a complete kit of everything. Many of these have been used to do this job. I pieced together the parts kits for mine, and ended up with some duplicates and some stuff that didn't apply to my model year bike.
And....while you're in there (you really didn't think this was the end of it, did you? hehe) sh*tcan the weak *** stock cams! Get some Andrews 21 or 26, or Woods or SE....anything is better than the stock cams. The performance improvement is noticeable. Then, you'll need a fuel controller or FI download....then...
Ok....I'll stop now.

25285-08 cam spacer kit
24017-10 SE inner cam bearings
They say you need a 25533-99A retention kit as extra, but the last two I've done had them included in the kit so I don't know why they say that.
