I have found that giving your local dealer the chance to match online prices is a good option. Most times the local guy will give you the same price or a real close one.

Why don't you want us to know which HD discount dealer it was?

 

This has happened to me before. Sometimes saving 20% is not worth the trouble.

 

Because everyone makes mistakes. It wasn't my intent to run anyone down; I was just upset with the circumstances.

 

I purchase about everything online these days. I've saved thousands. I mean thousands and thousands.

Because of those savings I usually give them a break. I never order anything online that I have to have in say... two months. I've had my share of problems with nearly all of the big vendors as well. Chicago, Lake Shore, Surdyke, and Zanottis. Everyone of them has made a mistake here and there and each made it right in the end. By "make it right" I mean I finally got the parts as ordered for a huge discount over walking in the front door of my local dealer... Since I'm saving so much I figure as long as I get everything in a timely manner (like less than 6-8) weeks I'm doing well. Typically though I get the stuff in 3 or less weeks...

Order the parts from someone else. When you're pkg shows up from the original dealer, refuse delivery. It'll get sent back and then you can cancel the order.

 

Why won't you say it was Chicago HD? I'm just curious.

 

that sounds like a real annoying mess. i hope you get it straightened out. this could become even more confusing than it already is. i'd get the money back and let them keep their parts and shop locally.

 

I would not get the supertuner when there are better choices out there. TTS mastertune, Power vision, rev perf EMS etc.,
