I have never had a problem ever with my new 06 Ultra, even after changing the turn signals to the bullet style almost 10 months ago. The other day however my left turn signal would not turn off and the only way to cancel it was to hit the right turn signal and it shut off the left side when the right side came on. Now, even though no turn signals are flashing when I turn the bike off and then start it up again the left turn signal now comes back on. Blinking at a very weird pattern. Could this be the way the computer tells you something else is wrong, as in sending engine codes through flashing lights on the dash. Also both the front and rear lights do flash, the bulbs are NOT burned out. Any help I would appreciate. Thanks

 

Could be an electricla short. There is also a cancellation module that could be malfunctioning. You are going to need a service manual and a volt meter to troubleshoot the problem properly or take it to the dealing. Either way I would have it looked at soon so you don't damage the electrical system.

 

First check to see if you logged a fault code. Check HERE for directions.

 

Same thing happend on my 07. They tried the controller and that did not work. It ended up being the switch on the left side. Mine was covered under warranty.
