fork oil change from type B to type E
I picked up a couple liters of the Maxima 10 weight fork oil at the local cycle shop. The 10 weight says same as Harley Davidson type E, the 5 weight on the shelf said same as Harley type B. Hmmm, didnt the Moco use type B for the older damper rod type forks that didn't have the damper valve, which required the heavier weight oil? When did the Moco switch from the type B to type E in touring model forks?

Yeah, the OP recently posted the Maxima quote on my fork-oil-change thread. I thought Type B was between Type E and SE Heavy, but this will make me think again. I was going to buy some tomorrow, so I'm glad I read the references to the Maxima quote. I can't find any clarifying info on this with Google.
If we can't find out for sure I'll probably mix Type E and SE Heavy like Dawg did at one time. I understand he's now gone with fancy forks and doesn't use the mix anymore.

I was reading a previous post that gave all the wieghts of the HD fork oils that claimed the type E/5wt, type B/10wt, SEheavy/ 15wt, SEext.heavy/ 20wt., I can't seem to find the post right now but I did wright all this down for my own referance, I used SE heavy in the front forks and type B in the rear air shocks on my 09 E.G.
