Went with the 575s, stock bars had me leaned forward a little too much, needed to get just a little bit back and little higher, fit the bill for me, will never go back, you got to figure the factory makes a generic fit for the generic customer so most need to customize to get the feel right. Did have to get rid of the fairing mirrors, fist was right in the center couldn't see much out of them, went with the harley blind spot mirrors recommended by Docharley, great call.
switched to black wild ones 12.5" bagger bars... by far the best mod done to the bike... they look great and really make me sit up straight. i no longer have lower back pain when i ride!!!
I thought maybe the Heritage Softail stock bars would be nice, b/c so many roadking riders use them.. But someone said they are the same bars that are on the SG.. Don't know if that's true.
Any thoughts?
Not sure who told you this, but I would not believe a thing this dude says abaout anything.....
Heritage bars are NOT the same as the SG bar. Not even close.
I plan on going to the Ergo Up or Ergo Back as soon as I figure out the difference.
Price is a bit high, but not much more than even the chrome werks sweepers +2 when you price them for the 2006 SG. These are at least twice the cost of the new models...though I have no clue why.
Also, when you figure in the cost of NO cables needed, $240 for a complete bar change is cheep. Should be much quicker too w/o the clutch cable swap.
