Planning on switching my TD's out for a 2 in 1 on my 07' EGC. Haven't decided on a brand yet. What are current 2/1 owners thoughts? Ease of installation, fit, sound.. Like to go with a black setup. Dealer?

Thanks

sK

I just got a SuperMeg for my SG. I had one on my Nightster and liked it a lot. Good sound above 3k and excellent power (I want every single bit I can get). It was very simple to install.

Not much help in the way of black, but I have two sets of Harley 2010 exhausts. One with the cat still in it, & one with the cat removed. I like the look & fit, & don't mind that both are relatively quiet. The one without the cat is a little louder. Can't beat the cost either since people are dumpin' 'em on the web for about $150 a set.

D&D fatcat or a Rinehart 2 into 1. We have both at the shop and they each have their own unique personality.

I've got a Fatcat. It makes silly power, but isn't exactly quiet, even with the new wrap in the baffle. I may try a Supermeg next.

Shorty, I have the Bassani 2-1 Road Rage in chrome on my 08 Street Glide. I has an awesome sound to it and only gets loud when u really crack the throttle, otherwise highway cruising not too bad at all. As far as fitment, well I would say that that's the only downside to it. Heat shields are'nt included and can be a bit of a jigsaw puzzle. The performance makes up for this as it produces a very nice flat torque curve. There is a optional quiet baffle, but I've never heard it, and have the standard one on my bike. The pipe has not blued or yellowed. It also comes in black. The Fat Cat is a favourite here,as performance, fit and finish, is excellent. The Supertrapp SuperMeg another great choice. Just do your research and you'll be fine....Good luck.

Had a 2-1 thunderheader on my 06 and I loved the sound and performance. This time around I went with their slip ons.

Fuel Moto sells several types as well one they make themselves. A friend has a V&H Pro Pipe on his '10 SG and likes it. It looks good and has a very sporty sound, but isn't what I would call deep.

SuperTrapp is well-known in the off-road industry as well as in motorcycling, their pipes won a biker magazine shootout against all the others, and I've seen them used exclusively by some clone manufacturers. Better yet, their end caps can be swapped from closed-to-open (just remove 6 discs) and you can go from stealthy quiet to H*LL YEAH!.

The fit and finish on the D&D Fat Cat is fantastic. It goes on easy and makes the bike a lot more fun to ride with the improvement in throttle response. I know a lot of guys with Thunderheaders, they love 'em and I know a couple of happy Supertrapp owners too. I think they are all pretty good, the Thunderheader gets sooty and discolors a bit but sounds awsome. The new V&H Pro Pipe Chrome is cheap, well made, and has stepped headers, so it sounds interesting to me too. There are a lot of choices out there. Me, I like my Fat Cat best.
