Default Help with new polished rotors

Ok so I buy a new 21" front wheel with matching polished rotors from RC Components. I install them with new Lyndall Racing Brake pads. When I ride it I get a pulsating and grabbing feeling when I use the brake. After about 50 miles I called RC Components and they said it shouldn't be doing this so I take the rotors off send them in and wait two weeks for new ones. I just put the new ones on today and when I ride it I get the same thing. Can anyone tell me if they had the same problem, is this normal and will it go away with time?

I just installed my new wheels and 2 peice rotors 2 weeks ago, and I am having the exact same issue. My wheels are also from RC. Great wheels. However there is an issue with their rotors and the brembo brake system. I too called them, and they wanted to send me another set as well. I asked them if they make floating rotors, and his response was, they just had a design meeting regarding the rotor issues and are moving forward with floating rotor production. So i had him put a set on order for me, and are currently waiting for them to show up. I believe this will cure the issue, because to me it feels like the rotors have too much "run out". Excessive run out will transfer up through the master and to your hand, just like when the rotors are warped on your car, you can feel it in the pedal. Who did you order your wheels from?

It sounds like the new rotors are warped as were the first set.

I ordered my wheels from Eastern Performance Cycles in Maryland. I am really about to pull my hair out with this deal. Especially after trying to explain to the wife why I spent $3000 and it doesn't ride like it's supposed to. I can put the stock rotors on the new wheels and rides just fine but when I put the polished ones back on it's the same pulsating feeling, makes it difficult to stop.

I would call RC again and ask about the "floating rotors" they will probably have you contact Eastern Perf to order them for you. They will replace them @ no charge. They have been really cool to deal with. I ordered my wheels though Robert @ Hog Pros (awesome guy, btw). First I called RC and they told me they would get a set of floaters made up for me and ship them to me with a RGA for the exchange ones, so I wouldnt be without for a couple of weeks. But I did have to contact Hog Pros to have them place the order. Hog pros then placed the order with RC, then called me to confirm the same thing RC had told me. I know what you mean about being difficult to stop. Espesically at 5 mph or less, it really feels "grabby". Im very confident that the floating rotor will resolve this issue.

I am waiting on a set of wheels now that will come with the discs for the brembo system (I upgraded from the older style). I am hoping I will not have this problem. I did order through HogPro (Rob is an awesome guy), so if there is an issue I think they will help out...
