Just a little 2" IAFF sticker, Grey and balck, it blends into my helmet...nothing on my Street Glide....I too have thought about derby covers and such, but I find thats all people want to talk about when they find out I am a fire fighter!? I just want to have a good time and ride, not answer questions about "whats the worst fire or accident you have been to!?"
Never, don't want people to know, I'm out to have a good time and relax, I get paid to fight and then only when I have to. Get a million questions how they where done wrong. Friends want to throw my weight around, ticks me off. I usually just tell them I'm a garbage man. Not a total lie.
i have been in law enforcement for going on 15 years and have not/will not put anything law enforcement related on my bike. when i'm off i like to relax and forget about work. as others have said it avoids all the dumba$$ questions, and the trouble from some of the shady people.
We got our Ultra FF Special shortly after 9-11. We did the trailer to pay tribute to the 343 firefighter that where lost at the World Trade Center and to honor those who put their lives on the line every day. I've had the privilage of serving with a lot of good men over the last 40 year as a volunteer fireman and enjoy meeting fellow firefighters as we travel.
