I did not remove clutch either. But I did buy a 3/4 drive torque wrench that goes up to 250lbs.

Left hand threads on clutch nut means it is constantly tightening Red Loctite is probably overkill

Didn't the '09 come stock with the SE comp? I replaced the one on my '07 & got rid of the "bang".

I'm pretty sure the SE comp wasn't a stock item until 2011. I say that because my 10 Ultra didn't have the SE comp. It came stock right after I bought my bike if memory serves.

==============

I have an 09 FLHTCU & it didnt come with an SE comp from the mfg.

I know this as fact because the stock comp was shot @ only 9,700 miles which is when i installed an SE comp kit myself and saw the stock comp wasnt an SE comp.

Have approx 16k miles on the new Se comp kit thus far & all is ok.

You mean it was standard. Introduced much earlier.

2010 non CVO bikes came with standard compensator.

Not sure what the 2010 CVO's used but I believe in 2011 or 12 the updated comp came stock on the 103's.

Since then the compensator has been updated about 3 times I think, I just installed the latest version this summer.
