Yup I called V&H and they told me to run the map for Power Duals with my Twin Slash Rounds. Sounds good, can't wait to ride it.

JR,
With a stock A/C and stock mufflers, do you think a remap is still nessesry after the cat is removed?

Thanks

From my best understanding of all the opinions I have collected on this forum is untill you change the air cleaner and backplate then NO. you are not going to move anymore air though the system until you free up the intake area. But I do have SE stage 1 AC and V&H slip on and when I gutted the cat I definately was way to lean as the cat was my most restrictive area i my setup-up and I cleared it.

Very good,

Same rule of thumb we have in the Dyna world. Thank you for confirming.

All research indicates that the 09's do not. I think I read somewhere that some Cali. models did.

'09 49 state bikes do not have the cat. Only Cali had them in the '09. '10 and '11 are 50 state legal and ALL have a cat.

All California and International Models have the Catalytic Converter in the Header. Only the 49 state models came without it. Starting with the 2010 model year, All Touring models came with Catalytic Converter installed in the Exhaust Header.

Both headers look the same. I found the only way to tell if there is the converter installed is to look in the exhaust port of the header. If you see it, it is there. If you see an empty space, it does not have the converter installed.

i would not dismiss California from passing a law that checks to see if the Motorcycle Exhaust has been tampered with.

If you cut the header and gut out the converter, you will be able to tell from the outside that the header has been tampered with. That is why I found a header for my '09, from back east that didn't have the converter and replaced mine. I kept the original one so if the California EPA ***** start to check, I can switch back and forth.

If you put an 2009 head pipe on a '10 or '11 model you will need to add O2 sensor bungs as they were moved to the collector area and size changed to 12mm on late models. Phat Performance and Drag Specialties have weld in bungs. Another way around this is to add a fuel management system that does not use O2 sensors.
