Default Road King Classic Tour Pack Lid Issues

I was wondering if anyone else has this issue. I have an 09 Road King Classic, and when I baught it, I was allowed to chose $1500 worth of accesories, I chose the matching tour pack as one. It looked great, and gave it a semi bagger look, and can be removed in seconds. Well I kept it on , and in 3 months the leather shrunk...colapsing the plastic inner shell lid, went to my dealer, he replaced it. the one I have now is just as bad, if not worse! Peaves me off a bit, considering I cannot even get a case of beer in it anymore without the lid hitting it. I took/take good care of the leather, it gets cleaned and I use the Harley Leather dressing on it at least monthly if not more. My saddle bags are fine, almost as good as new, I know I live in a desert, and leather shrinks, but has anyone else experienced this phenominon? The dealer exchanged the first trunk that lasted 6 months, but wont anymore.... I understand the leather policy Harley has, but this is rediculous. any help?

No problems with my 09 Harley purchsed in April of 09. I treat my leather several times a year and ride in the Texas heat.

I bought one in 99 & it still looks great, but I only left it on when I was using it. It's been in the house now for 5 years since I got rid of the RKC, guess I need to list it in the classifieds.

I'm sure the desert heat is pretty harsh on a lot of things, what's the dealers reasoning?
