I am lookin to buy a pair of BUB 7 slip-ons (05-7039CC)
Any recommendations on where to get them at the best deal?

Just a warning that Bub's have a serious issue with the end caps flaking. Do a search you will find numerous complaints from folks complaining of this problem. I have seen many, mine included that flake off the chrome on the end caps. Have to have them either rechromed or painted a different color.

 

Oh...so it never ends....lol. I had the same issue with my 3 1/2 Rinehart black caps, I had the warrantied 3 times! Does BUB stand behind the problem? The part number I want are the 4" for true dual headers.

 

BUB direct. I had BUB 7 & no problems. Call them up & ask them about the problem with bad chrome!!!

 

Same peeling issues here and they ONLY have a 90 Day warranty. I would not purchase another set due to the **** poor warranty but there is nothing that compares to the sweet sound Bub 7's make with a big bore build.

Try calling Eastern Performance for a price.

 

I got mine from Eastern Performance and when I was shopping it was the best deal. I've had mine for 2 years now with no problems with flaking.

 

+1 Eastern Performance. Great price and fast shipping when I got mine almost 2 years ago (deepest with just the right amount of volume). LOVE the sound of the Bub7 by far the best sound for me that I have heard. Zero issues with quality. You know how it is, when somehting goes wrong, these forums can make it appear that it's a massive issue in "the world". Negative info spreads sooo much wider than positive unfortunately.

 

Does anyone know if you can just buy the end caps to replace bad ones?

 

Another vote for Phat performance. Good price, member discount. Haven't had any problems w/ flaking yet, but people here have always spoke good of them.
