Default 2007 Road King Exhaust

Looking for a straight answer. I want to install Screamin’ Eagle Street Touring Mufflers on my 2007 Road King Classic. Part# 64985-07

Bike is stock with 1,000. Mile service to be done this week. The Bike runs great with no “Can of Rocks” sound from the Transmission, the only complaint I have is that it runs a little hot in the warm weather (Not a problem now in the cool New England Fall Weather).

Question is will I need to have the Dealer install them and have to have Download done to keep my warranty intact.

Every time I ask at my Dealer I get a different answer. I would like to keep the base map in case I install a PC III once the warranty is over.

You can install them, takes about 20 minutes, these will not effect warranty at all and there will be no download needed as these are 50 state EPA legal, that also means they will be no louder than stock pipes except maybe by 2-5 db's, which I doubt you could even notice. Big waste of money to buy these pipes unless you just want a different look, cause you can look at the little power graph in the 07 catalog and see they produce no more power than the stock pipes.

Thanks; Just like the look of the "FishTail" end caps. I can get them for a little over $300.00 at Benjy's online. A lot better than my "STEALER" I think he is just trying to sell me full price plus the extra $150.00 for the download.

don't know if they are cheaper at Benjy's or not, but Zanotti has them for $323.94

I installed SE (Screaming Eagles 64924-99) on my 07 RG and no download was required, and you could tell the difference from the Stock Pipes

I guess that price is before end caps, cause harleys price for the muffs and 2- fishtail end caps is 501.85 JFYI, the download is 150.00 but its another half hour labor to install it, 37.50 at my dealer.

Installed a set of B&B Slip-ons on my 07 Custom. Dynoed before and after with O2 sniffer. Only about 1hp gain but sounds great and fuel curve not affected. They did not solve or create the can of marbles sound caused from lugging and lean low rpm condition.....still need to hold off on 6th gear until about 70mph.

Don't like the can of marbles sound DOWN SHIFT and let your motor rev...quit lugging it like grampa. (at least that how my grampa drives yours could be different.)

The 07’s seem to be geared a little higher, 50-55 mph in 4th is about right, I use 5th only above 55 and 6th above 60 mph with no noise.

Lugging has got to be one of worst things you can do on these bikes. Better to run them a little higher in the RPM’S than to lug them down low.

I have got to say the torque on the 96” is very good; I can pull a steep incline at 65 mph in 6th with no power loss.
