RE: First oil change, hints/tips welcome
A couple friends of mine are running Mobil Delvac oil in their bikes...Suppose
to be a heavier oil that produces a quieter engine and transmission. I am
coming up on my first oil change in my new Road Glide and I am giving it
some serious consideration....Whattaya think???

I believe it is 11105 which is for both tranny and oil (at least on mine)

Delvac? What was the oil designed for? Mobil 1 V-Twin is one of the best oils you could buy for a motorcycle and it is designed for it. Why would you run something heavier if it is not absolutely necessary. My father in law always ran a too heavy oil in his pick up and it always blew gaskets and leaked oil. Heavier oil does not flow as well at start up and that is when a lot of engine wear occurs. Too each his own but i would not run an oil just because the engine runs quieter, there are a lot of other things to consider.

Couldn't find it at Dennis Kirk's site. Do you know what it's called (didn't show up under funnel, or oil), or the part number?
