Default Spun Aluminum Gauges

Can the spun aluminum gauges be put into a 2003 bike? I currently have the inner fairing out to paint and now an thinking about gauges? Its either the Harley stock spun gauges or Nu Image.

Have you considered having the stock ones redone? I know FBI does bagger 6-pack of guages with new faces for 249.99.

Check em out

JC, the reason HD lists the spun aluminum gauges for '04 and newer models is the speedo and tach use serial data for those gauges sent from the ECM; your '03 and older models don't use serial data for vehicle and engine speed. I've never seen any one overcome this issue.

As SR said, have your OEM gauges refaced for a new look.

Good luck with your project.

Good info Pingman! I have the Spun Alum in my bike and I cant tell you how many compliments I get about those... they really pop with my inner fairing painted black. I have also seen the FBI kit and they really do a nice job!

+1 on the spun aluminum gauges. I installed mine a few years ago and, with the painted inner fairing, have enjoyed miles of smiles with this combo.

FBI is Fat Baggers Inc and they make all kind of custom parts for us touring guys. I love my Spun gauges and got them used, so I saved a good bit of cash. The only issue is that Harley would not adjust the mileage for me, so I'm stuck with an incorrect speedometer.
