Default Anyone know the answer to this for sure?

I have the bike you see in my sig. Ive found a set of hardbags with the same paint as my bike so it would make sense for me to buy them since Ive been wanting some. This would save money on paint obviously. The questions I have are will they fit? My bike is an 09 and the bags Im looking at are from an 07. Also, its just the bags and lids. How much would all the hardware cost and whats a fair price on the bags? They look to be in nice shape. Thanks!

...ok..I'll take a stab at it....$400.00 is a fair price if they are perfect...(new they are about $350.00 a piece I believe)....yes they'll fit..and the hardware should be under $100.00......now..GO FOR IT!!!!...

..whoops..I'm not sure now if by.."just bags and lids"..you mean there is no latches and locks..no nothing?...or you just need the hardware to mount them onto the fender..if you need absolutely all the hardware...latch hinges..locks..mounts...everything...then it will be about $200 I bet...stock latches are probably $50-$60 each..then the mounting crap....good luck

I have the pins and the points the pins lock into on my leather bags. The bags that are for sale are just the lids and lowers. No hinges, latches, locks ect.

you are looking at right around 250-300 for the latches, probably another 60 for the locks keyed to match your bike, and I would plan on another 50 or so for the little incidentals that all add up seperatlyu. You are talking the backsoide hardware to close the bag, the tether to keep the lid from falling when open and a couple stick-on pads that go on the backside.

Get ahold of a parts Manual and you will see what I mean. The drawing in the manual will give you all the locations, as well as the part numbers so you can order them.

I just added Hardbags to the wifes deluxe last year, and I was more than a little surprised at what the total job cost, and my bags were like the ones you are looking at...just the bags..Found alot of the parts on Ebay, and here in the forums.

For what its worth........if you do do this you may just as well go with the chrome latches. Just my opinion.

Here's the parts site. If there isn't a section for RGs, and SG saddle bags...should be the same hardware.
