JimmyDee,
What you experienced has been given many names, I like to call it simply undesireable articulation resulting from the swingarm/chassis/drivetrain mount design. it is more prevelant in the pre 09's, but I've heard people say it happens in the new ones too. No personal experience with the new ones, but my 06 did it regularly before I installed Sta-Bo's. Pick one of the many "cure" products to reduce the effect and get back to riding. Know the limitations of your machine and don't push beyond it. Every model year has unique "issues" that require attention, so trade up if you want to but you'll be fixing something, one way or another.

I noticed a strange feeling in my tires when I had over-inflated the rear tire. The bike did not want to handle like it should... it fought me at every turn. I thought the rear was flat or something was broken. Turns out I had over 50psi in the rear and just over 40psi in the front. Needless to say, I went through the effort to adjust the tire pressure and the bike rides like it should - smooth, powerful, and nimble for a Road King. I run around 20 - 25 psi in the shocks. But, I'm on the portly side of life.

I have never experienced the "undesirable articulation" phenomenon. Got over 14k miles on this bike. But, when I take the RK into a tight corner, I tend to slow my speed to what I consider safe and let the stupid, screaming bastids in back of me run off the road. :-)

I thought I had the same issue when I first bought my RK, turns out I took a few hints from people on the forum. I checked my tire pressure, adjusted them to HD recommendations. Pumped up my air shocks a bit and took better stock of my riding habits. That helped but the best thing I did was to buy a set of American Elites. Made a hell of a difference in cornering, freeway riding; just a better tire all around.

Might have to change tires/wheels to get rid of the vibration, I think the front wheel has too many wheel weights (7). Might be trying to get an egg to roll like a circle. Don't know at this point I am just grasping...
This guy is crazy

It does happen in the new bikes. The new frame solved some issues but the wobbles wasn't one of them. The rubber "donut" in the swing arm is still there, only larger than the older bikes. Doesn't seem logical to me. You would think that by making the donut rubber larger it would only add more flex. I still believe that the fundamental problem is in the swing arm bushings whether new or old frame. All of the frame braces on the market address and cover up the symptom somewhat but don't cure the problem. Personally, I'm waiting for Glide Pro to come out with their setup for the new frame bikes. After trying one of the after market braces on my RK I went to the Glide Pro. It improved the handling on the RK in so many ways it wasn't even funny. If you need surgery, you need surgery. Don't put a band-aid on a broken arm. Just my stupid opinion.

Sorry.. but I can't help but keep re-reading the statement that he is running a tire pressure of 10lbs in the tire... Of course it feels flat... it is flat! Am I missing something???

I think either the OP is confused or has confused all here.
I don't see where he said he has 10lbs of air in his tires nor do I see he has said anything about 10 lbs of air in his rear shocks, just 10lbs.
Some are assuming one thing while others are assuming another on this 10lb thing.
Oh well, now I'm confused!
