SG - Wind Deflection Options
Hi All,
Sorry for the 20 questions today, I'm just in the bike mod mode..
On my SG.. I currently have a 9" LRS shield. Pretty good, however as many have noted on SGs', I get the wind redirected to my face through the bottom of fairing/engine. What is a good route to take to remedy this somewhat? I hear there are adjustable plastic pieces (forgot the name) that can be flipped on or off just under the fairing, or lowers. Could anyone direct me to a link of these two options in whatever form you think works good?

Buy a Road Glide, sorry I couldn't resist...
The way the air comes up your chest from under the fairing is one of the only things I didn't like about my SG.

I think the fork deflector really works. I prefer the black one from Harley as its not so noticeable and half the cost. I ran one on my 07 for about 45K miles, then took it off and installed it on my new SG. Try it and ride safe. I did'nt think much of the wings that mount on the outer edges of the fairing. Also had those on my 07 and they won't be going on my new one.

I've got 4 or 5 windshields in the garage, plus the ashtray between the forks. None of them were really making a huge difference one way or the other, cause most of the air comes from below the fairing. I even have a set of the adjustable fairing wings. Nothing was a kick-*** solution, 'til I found these fork deflectors on eBay. Even the 4" shield is bearable on long rides:
