Default Scratches on hard bags on a SG...

AGGGHHHH!!!! Took my bike out for a ride tonight and noticed that someone that had sit on my bike...or the ol lady, dragged their foot across one of the hard bags lid. Not bad, just a scuff.scratch on the lid, on the front, facing forward. Hopefully it will wax/polish out.
My question. How do you keep those bags out of harms way? I know it will get some, but trying to keep the scratches down for gods sake! What about lid bras or covers? Anyone use them? Thanks.

I put the HD lid covers on mine. Look good and all the hard bag riders that see them say they want a set to avoid scratches. Pretty easy to install, just velcro tabs.

I have scratches in the same spot. Haven't found anything that would take it out, wax, scratch-X, etc.

Saddle bags will get scratched. Especially the lids. Best thing you can do for them is get some lid covers to cover any battle wounds and prevent future ones.

Why buy leather bag covers to protect something that isn't seen? What good is protecting the paint if you are just gonna hide it under a leather cover?

I view scratches as proof I ride.

It's called keeping it nice for the next guy. For me, it's gonna get marked a bit - I just try to keep the scuffs to a minimum.
