Default 2009 Road King Standard vs. Classic Seat

Hi All,

I have a 2009 RKC.

It seems somewhere I read that the standard seat is not as wide as the one on the classic, but I will be damned if I can find where!

Seems like the standard had more clearance area to open the hard bags which operate from the back to the front where the classic bags open from the front to the back.

Also, what about the passenger pillion area? Are they the same width on both seats?

Can anyone chime in on this? The reason I ask is I am thinking about having MCC do some mods to a stock seat, but don't know whether to send my original classic seat, or try to hunt down one from a standard.

Thanks!
