I agree with you 100% and you are absolutely correct! You've been there before haven't you!

Sadly....what if there were no forum?....Would this customer have been taken care of?

Not piling on here....that's just the way it is....

I'm sure that all the customers who have this product don't belong to this forum, so am I to assume this is the only problem anyone has had? I really think that for all the business Rod says he is involved in, why quarrel over $50? If Glofish88 would have been taken care of, and he would have either posted here or told a friend about the service he received, wouldn't that cost have been recovered at least 10 times over? I can see the frustration here. It seems at times if you don't hire a lawyer to go over a contract, or in this case a warranty with a fine tooth come, the "loophole" will win out most of the time. Can I jump to the conclusion that most of us have been there....done that? I applaud Rod for probably doing what he should have done to begin with, but at least here, it's probably cost him more than the money in time and possible lost sales. And while I'm at it....

Does it occur to you that those with post counts that don't elevate themselves to what passes your smell test may have other things that take up their time instead of posting on forums? Like perhaps running a business, working or raising a family....or even riding? Maybe you're better at balancing your time? Are all of your 2000+ posts based on members waiting with baited breath to catch your input on something? Just checking.....

I know it didn't bend upward cause that's impossible under any circumstance, the bike is in the way. So in reality, the only way to bend that arm by abuse would be to load the bike down with about 1000 pounds and then jump up and down on the arm.

Just for the record, I am indeed a disgruntled former EZ-UP owner. I had one on my '08 Ultra and no matter how hard I or anyone else tried it simply would not lift the bike while straddling the seat, not even close. And i'm a big guy of 250 pounds and 6'2". I did complain about this way back when I purchased it in 2008 and Rod basically said I was full of sh*t. My bike was stock height and according to the product number I was sent the correct stand, but was it?. I just dropped the issue and got use to lifting the bike from the side once off of it.

I wasn't full of sh*t then and i'm not full of sh*t now, and no bike I ever own will ever see one of his products again. Not because I don't think they are good, because of the attitude behind them.
My .02 cents worth ... I'm 6'2 and a whopping 274 ( at least I was last Friday at the Doc's office ) and I have never had a problem getting it up ( the bike that is ) on the stand. I'm just sayin' !! I do agree that sometimes attitudes get in the way but at least in the case of this particular thread calmer heads prevailed and a solution to the problem was/will be reached. Now .... let's all take our toys and go home ... it's bedtime!

We don’t have many issues with either the center stand we build, the wheel chock we have been building for 8 years, or any of the products we make. We also weld for Mercury Marine, Ditch Witch and others. I purchased a large Kuka robotic welder which can be seen at work on my web site and it does fantastic work and the material I use is high tensile DOM tubing with and additional piece of 1018 CRS driven into the center of the foot lever for extra strength. I am not sure what it took to bend the rod but like I have tried to explain, if the weld failed at the joint there would not have been enough strength for the bend to have occurred. My opinion/judgment was based on past experience but as many have pointed out this is not always the most important consideration in business. So again I am sorry I wasn’t smart enough to know how best to handle this before the poop storm. Again, we just don’t have many issues with the center stand. Lesson learned….

Did not the Mercury Marine plant close quite some time ago and move all the equipment to Wis.? The Stillwater, OK Chamber of Commerce has been trying to recruit new tennents for the building.

My spin it pisses me off that this vendor had to wait for public ridicule instead of just taking care of the problem to start.

That is still not correct.

You do realize you were supposed to put the bike upright and off the kickstand (no jiffy, that's popcorn) before you tried to get it up on the center stand right?
Just bustin you *****. More so because when I bought mine I watched a gal that weighed maybe a buck 30 do it on Rod's bike with little to no effort.

I have one, I luv it and recommend it to anyone that asks me about it.

Have you seen that advertisement on TV from some tire company. It says "If ever you are not satisfied with our product, bring it back" The next scene is some little old lady pitching a tire and wheel through their front window.
I am not advocating violence of any sort here, but Rod had better hope some little old lady never buys one of his products and decides that revenge is her only avenue of making things right.
