I don't have and can not take pictures until I get the thing back from Rod.
But, when it does come back, broken and un-usable, I will certainly be posting them here for everyone to view. (That is, if he sends it back......we'll see.)

"Did it by chance get slammed while running over something (curb, etc)? Was there a big dent or scrape mark on it? It would be good to see some pics."

No, it did not get "abused" in any way shape or form. It was only used as intended....step and lift. Period.
And, for the record, I liked it, too, a lot....UNTIL IT FAILED.

You would think that for the low cost of what it cost him to make and the "lifetime warranty" and the amount of internet exposure, he would have replaced it.

"You would think"

Still on the fence about it.

Yeah! You would think. You can imagine my emotions when he accused me of "abusing" his product!! I am really perplexed and feel ripped off. My only recourse is to relate my experience about this situation.

All that I wanted is to have my centerstand back in good/repaired working order. As discussed. NEVER did I expect Rods' negitive response...it's pure crap I tell you.

I have one on my SG and love it. I always lift the bike with me sitting on it, without taking my weight off the seat, and it never has a problem. The only issue I've had was once I had the bike sitting on the center stand in the driveway on a slight downward slope. I started the bike while putting on my helmet and I was standing next to the bike. The vibration of the bike running shifted the bike slightly forward and it came off the center stand. I was there and grabbed it quickly so no harm no foul. My stupidity for starting the bike on a center stand that leaves both tires on the ground.

I'm sorry you had a bad experience with yours.

What is the meaning/context of the "reposted" mentioned in your thread title?

Did you call back and talk to Rod? It sounds like the receiving department and Rod aren't on the same page to me.

Yup, sure did. As a matter of fact Rod was the only person I spoke to about this. No one else was included in the loop, just Rod the owner.

Bum deal, eh?

Also, you may note from my signiture that I have DECADES of using a center stand. They come as standard equipment on BMW motorcycles. So to imply that I don not know how to use one or that I may have used it incorrectly is just plain BS.

Rod is simply effing me over by not honoring the "lifetime warranty".
