I've had that download done on two separate bikes. I've been very happy with the outcome both times. Did a HB and Screamin' Eagles and gave me the look, sound and performance I was looking for. $150 seems to be the going cost which to me is WAY better than the cost of a race tuner and dyno time since I am getting the results I am happy with.

I bought a 2011 FLHTK a few months ago and had the dealer store it for the winter. Before I picked it up I had them install rush slipons, HD SE air intake keeping the original cover, and the stage one downlaod. They did this about a month ago. They had a winter special going, all parts and labor cost me $730. The stage one download was $150 before discount.

With the chance of crank scissoring....I'm not building the motor at all without a rebuild with a welded crank.

I can't believe the 120R doesn't come with a welded crank!

I'm happy with the power level I have, and the sound off the stock mufflers is great! So, I think XIEDS are the ticket....if my oil temps are too high.

If I ever want more, I'll rebuild the engine I already have, with S&S guts (forged welded crank and forged rods and pistons)and have the heads CNC ported......124 sounds great! (2000 cc )

But it would be cammed for low RPM torque.

as of today...don't see the need though.

The dealers are a close knit "mafia" style operation only there for one thing.

I have the Vance and Hines Pro Pipe, a free breathing air cleaner purchased from Fuel Moto and a PCV purchased and pre-loaded by Fuel Moto as well. No more closed loop. 02's have been disconnected. Haven't had the chance to run her on the roads, but I'm told it is the cats azz for a stage 1.

Yep, it should last longer than another year I would think.
F/M warranties their PC's for twice as long of which is two years as opposed to 1 year.
I will put mild cams in sometime here in the future.
I would like to get the heads cleaned up and the breather holes drilled out which will eliminate any blow-by that I don't have yet(knock on wood).
The way it should have come from the factory.
It runs good now. It is not a hot rod but I did not buy it for that.
I still like to get on it though every now and then.
I didn't buy it to baby it around either.

I asked why, cant you just do a download direct to my ecm? His reply was that Harley changed how they do that now. He said they used to have a catalog of downloads but now they come right from Harley not the dealer... for 170 bucks.
I said, whatever... 170 bucks is better than the cost of the Race Tuner and the dyno.
He told me to call his manager on monday.

What is this crap. Anyone hear that the downloads are not available for the bikes at the dealer?
you answered your own question they weren't making enough $$$$

In all fairness, I've not read the entire thread. Harley's canned maps are still way too lean. Invest in a good tuner that will be upgradeable later on for future mods. Do it right the first time and be done with it. IMHO I learned from the best, "Doc Weaver" enough said.
