I had similar problem w/my former 05 XL1200C & Accell wires...seems like their compatibility charts are inaccurate. Ended up getting Magnecor & they worked great.

 

Sounds like you got a defective set of wires. Take them back

 

check battery and cables make sure you didnt upset the ground cable if it moved it may be loose if it only clicks sounds like a dead battery

 

Take the wires back, and get your $$ back! Or at least make the exchange.

 

try the wires again... it would have tried to fire up if it were the wires. You may have unplugged one of the wires off of your key switch and when you rechecked them it connected right... the fact the horn didnt work is what me think this.
