Had the same problem with my Fat Bob. Preferred to run with the solo seat most of the time, so I picked up a fender bib. Looked great.

I had some marks on my rear fender. I went with the Mustang plain fender bib. It fits nice.

I've found Nu Finish scratch remover works better than Mequires or 3M for rub marks. Consumer Reports rates Quixx best for deep scratches.

Had the same issue on my SG. Rubbed the hazy scratches out with some 3M 3000 compound. Amazing stuff - works great.
Applied some 3M clear tape to the fender so I can use my 2-up pillion behind my solo for my t-bag. No more scratches when I remove the pillion.
Use a spray bottle with soapy water and a squeegee to apply the 3M tape. Makes applying it a snap.
